Catching Up

Emma had two ladybug birthday parties. One with her playgroup friends, and one with family and other friends. She had fun and opened most of the presents herself. I got her a cake from Wal-Mart that was cupcakes laid out in the shape of a ladybug and the icing was red with some black ones for spots. For weeks afterward she kept declaring it was her birthday. When we went to dinner for Pop-Pop's birthday, she said "MY dirt-day!"

Emma has started using the potty and sometimes tells me she needs to go. As soon as summer gets here, she'll spend more time without the diaper and hopefully will catch on quick.

Spring is here and we have been outside more, blowing bubbles, riding the lawn mower with daddy (and pushing her own), and playing in her new crabby sand box.

We went to Busch Gardens with Sharon, Linton, Terry and Price. It was Emma's first visit there and her first ride! I rode on with her the first time, then put her on by herself. She loved it! She rode all day - they even had a ladybug ride.

For Easter we practiced hiding and hunting eggs at home a lot, then on Easter Chas and Emma found eggs at Ghee's house. Emma enjoys new activities, catches on quick and is a happy child. She always lets you know how she feels about things and I am proud of her for that.

We finally sold our old house. Finally. Yay. Refinanced our current house. Payment bigger than expected. Yay.
