Growing Baby

I took Libby to the doctor to discuss how fussy and miserable and in pain she is, and at 5 weeks she weighs 10 lbs, 4 ounces. I was so suprised she was that big! We switched her formula and will give it a few days before deciding if it helps any.

Out with the old, in with the new

Goodbye old friend. You have been slept on, relaxed on, peed on, spit up on, climbed on and played on. We have read books on you, surfed the internet with our laptop on you, and watched too many hours of TV on you. We have moved you into two houses. We have not vacuumed you or cleaned you in any way and now the dogs have destroyed your shape and yes, you stink, too. We bought you when we got married, so it's been a good 5.5 years, but now you must go.

Here is your replacement/upgrade:

It is finally in its place after an hour and a half of two grown men sweating, bleeding, cussing and even removing the door off its hinges. Now if I can just keep Shelby off of it . . .

Cutie-pie

Emma was in great need of a haircut, and a haircut she got. She was so good getting it done, and sat still on my lap and grinned in the mirror as she watched her hair fall away. Libby even cooperated and was a quiet sleeping angel in her seat. Phew, got that done!
Now she looks like a young Sue-Sue!

One Month Old

One month has gone by. The first two weeks crazy, the second two weeks realizing we have another extremely fussy baby. Here's hope for the next month to bring peace, quiet and more sleep. And despite the misery, she is cuter every day, her hair looks more red every day, I love her more each day, and I just shrug my shoulders and take things one day at a time . . . and thank God for each precious day, good or bad.

Here she is checking out the mobile over her crib on her one month birthday:

Playing and Sleeping

There isn't much to write about these days. I keep the house together, take care of Libby and Emma and sometimes sleep and eat. Chucky is very helpful and I can't imagine doing this alone. I did take Libby to work for a few hours last week and to wal-mart yesterday and took both girls to the post office this morning. AND I got a shower three days in a row! Sometimes I get some good pictures, so for now that's what I'll post.

Emma (with the best fake smile ever) and Libby on the play mat.

Libby wants to talk to the toys.

All tuckered out after some intense play time!

I never liked Bert and turns out I am most like him. Very upsetting. Seriously.

Two Girls

I am the mother of two girls. It's amazing and it's crazy and I wouldn't trade it for anything. We have so much to enjoy and so much to look forward to. It's weird to hear myself referring to "my children" or "the girls". Here's Libby sleeping:

And here's Emma on her new tractor from Nannie:
